A disturbing recruitment campaign from the Ku Klux Klan has come to light. People who are receiving the marketing ‘packs’ have been sharing with media and social media.
In Mission BC, many of the community found flyers on their doorsteps. The flyers include the header:
“Loyal white knights of the Ku Klux Klan”
Followed by the line:
“Yes! White lives do matter!”
It then goes on and on about having “sacred” “pure” “blood” and being a”warrior” and “protector” of the race.
The note has lines such as:
“I love my white skin and my race … I have no guilt for who I am“

The fact that the Klan even still exists in this day and age is astounding. It is a hate group and technically legal due to freedom of speech. The KKK is so entrenched with white supremacism and racism, with a history of violence, that it should be considered a terrorist group.
How on earth can anyone defend this line of thinking?
It is hugely insulting to use the line “White lives matter.” Especially when Black Lives Matters groups are facing real life or death problems for their community in the form of many innocent and unarmed black men, continually being shot dead by police.
America (and many other colonized) has a shameful history with regard to race matters. Blacks were forced here during the slave trade, treated as second class citizens, lynched, segregated, oppressed, and jailed. It is shameful.
The KKK is a hate group and has been responsible for blatant racist murders of black people and they should be ashamed of themselves.
We are living in disturbing times with the rise of far right groups, along with the popularity of fear mongering and Donald Trump, wrongful police shootings, all combining to create a feeling of fear and racial conflict.
Liberal America has previously covered the Clinton ad that connects Klan members with Trump supporters.
The KKK say in their flyer they have no guilt, then they should take off their masks and let us all see who they really are! I am really tired of hate!
