It must be incredibly frustrating right now to be on the campaign staff of Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump. There is a growing sense that those who are close to the candidate are desperate to get him under control.
This was not a good week for the Donald. He was completely trounced by his rival, the Democratic candidate for president. In fact, even some Trump surrogates publicly admitted that Hillary Clinton whupped his big orange behind.
Last week the New York Times released information about Trump’s 1995 tax returns showing a loss of nearly a billion dollars. A loss that huge would allow him to legally pay zero income tax for the next 18 years.
Not a good story line for Trumpsters.
In an effort to swing the story around and save his sorry butt, Trump’s staff announced that he would be giving a nine sentence statement about what Hillary Clinton said in regard to Bernie Sanders’ voters.
The staff gave the man a very short, very simple paragraph to read.
Alas for those hard working Trump wranglers. The carefully crafted nine sentences turned into a full 25 minutes of ranting, raving, and nearly foaming at the mouth.

Trump was speaking at a rally in Manheim, Pennsylvania when the statement was supposed to be read. He has not given a press conference since July, in an effort by his people to reign him in and stop him from speaking spontaneously. So this rally seemed like a good chance for a nicely controlled comment.
Sure.
The script only served as a general guideline for the famously distracted candidate. Instead of focusing on Clinton’s remarks about young voters, Trump went down the path of every angry thought that crossed his attentionally challenged brain.
He made fun of Secretary Clinton for her bout with pneumonia. He listed serious problems around the world and said:
“She’s supposed to fight all of these things and she can’t make it 15 feet to her car. Give me a break.”
He claimed that Clinton belongs in jail. He ranted about her emails again.
Trump claimed that Clinton wouldn’t be loyal to her voters. Then he really went off the rails with a completely baseless accusation against the woman who is supposed to be a political opponent, but whom he treats as a personal enemy. He laughed and said this:
“I don’t even think she’s loyal to Bill, to tell you the truth. And why should she be, right? Why should she be?”
I don’t personally know anyone who works for the Trump campaign. I can only imagine the horror they must have been feeling when their candidate once again proved that he is mentally unbalanced, unable to follow the simplest of procedures, obsessed with sex, and meaner than a wolverine.
Poor Trump wranglers. They must be terrified of what he’ll say next.
This video is long, but well worth watching. I couldn’t look away.
