Florida’s Proposed Abortion Law Is Not Pro-Life At All (VIDEO)

An organization in Florida called Abolish Abortion believes that women should be given the death penalty for having abortions. They are a Christian-run political group, which should not exist. Churches don’t pay taxes, so they don’t need to be involved with politics.

Back in May, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said that he wants to punish women who have abortions. Some of his advisors want to ban abortion in all cases including rape and incest. They also don’t want women to get abortions if their life is in danger. How is this pro-life? It’s not pro-life, it’s pro-birth. They want the baby to be born, but that’s it.

They are arguing that abortion is murder and should be treated as such. A 12-week-old fetus is not a fully-formed person, but I guess the GOP doesn’t care about that.

They are trying to get the measure on the 2018 ballots. A press release from Abolish Abortion said:

“The political committee Abolish Abortion Florida (AAFL) has launched a ballot initiative to amend the state’s constitution to punish abortion as capital murder. Under the proposed amendment, anyone who performs or procures an abortion would be charged with first degree, pre-meditated murder. ‘Abortion’ would include any abortifacient drug or device that can kill an embryo by preventing implantation, as well as the intentional destruction of unwanted IVF embryos. The amendment would define life as beginning at fertilization rather than ‘conception,’ and declares that ‘abortion deprives an innocent human being of the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

This even includes some forms of birth control. According to their website, they are OK with contraceptives that prevent fertilization. However, they are against birth control that kills a formed embryo. This includes “the morning after pill, intrauterine devices (IUDs), and implants.

They wrongly include birth control pills in this list. Birth control stops ovulation, which keeps an egg from being dropped. Therefore, no conception takes place. This hateful organization obviously didn’t do their research before spreading their hate.
