Shocker! Trump LIED About Being Endorsed By Immigration Officials (VIDEO)

On Monday, the two presidential candidates faced off in the first presidential debate of this election cycle.

Of course, Donald Trump lied a lot during the debate. At one point he said this about the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency:

“I was just endorsed by ICE. They’ve never endorsed anybody before on immigration. I was just endorsed by ICE. I was just recently endorsed—16,500 Border Patrol agents.”

One problem with this is the Hatch Act. ICE spokeswoman Sarah Rodriguez said:

“Per the Hatch Act, federal agencies are prohibited from engaging in partisan political activity including the endorsement of any candidate for office. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has not and will not endorse any candidate for office.”

The Hatch Act was passed in 1939 to keep the executives out of politics.

ICE is the federal agency that deals with immigration laws.

Trump may have been thinking of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council, which is a union of over 5,000 immigration workers. If the organization gave him an endorsement, he should remember who they are.

On Monday, the council released a statement against both candidates. Chris Crane, the council’s president said:

“America has been lied to about every aspect of immigration in the United States. We can fix our broken immigration system, and we can do it in a way that honors America’s legacy as a land of immigrants, but Donald Trump is the only candidate who is willing to put politics aside so that we can achieve that goal. We hereby endorse Donald J. Trump, and urge all Americans, especially the millions of lawful immigrants living within our country, to support Donald J. Trump, and to protect American jobs, wages, and lives.”

Donald Trump has been talking about immigration during the entire campaign. He has been talking about building a wall on the Mexican border. He has made up statistics on illegal immigrants killing people. This man doesn’t need to be responsible for immigrants.
