WATCH: The Presidential Debate According To Trevor Noah ’We Made It!’

If anyone missed the anticipated presidential debate between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton yesterday, don’t fret. The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah is here to assist you with a humorous summary of the event:

“This is it, we made it! The waiting is finally over.”

Noah starts off by reporting that we didn’t have to wait long for the first lie, and in a hilarious twist, ends up cracking that joke on Clinton’s expense, when she turned to Trump and welcomed him with:

“Donald, it’s good to be with you.”

Noah proceeds to show clips of the heated parts of the debate, and describes it as:

“Welcome to the real life version of Twitter, people.”

In one of the first segments, Trump strangely accused Clinton of telling the enemy everything they want to know:

“No wonder you’ve been fighting ISIS you’re entire adult life.”

Noah didn’t let this one slip:

“What? Her entire adult life? ISIS has been around since 2004, so it would make Hillary 26 years old? And she can’t be 26 because Donald wasn’t hitting on her…”

Then, Noah had a blast analyzing the little bit of truths slipping out of Trump, which seemed to stem from compulsive urges to brag. One such slip was Trump revealing his true reasons behind his refusal to reveal his tax returns.

Clinton stated that the only time Trump’s returns were revealed, was when he applied for opening a Casino, and they showed that he wasn’t paying any federal income taxes at all. Trump couldn’t help but intervene with:

“That makes me smart.”

Noah had to point out that taxes are a responsibility, and not something to evade:

“You’re running to be the number one citizen of a country. You shouldn’t brag about ways, you found ways, to get around the rules. He’s like ’That makes me smart. You see what I did there, ha ha, I screwed over the American people by not paying my fair share, ha ha, vote for me […] I duped you all.’”

Noah caught on to several problematic sides of a Trump presidency, revealed or enhanced by the presidential debate, and his hilarious yet to-the-point commentary of it can be watched here. The happy conclusion is that “We made it.” Enjoy!
