Former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton just pointed out to the public that her Republican rival has done everything in his power to avoid making his tax information public.
Clinton pointed out that the only tax returns that the we have seen from the ever slippery Donald Trump have shown that he paid NO federal income tax at all.
It’s interesting to note that the only reason Trump ever shared his tax returns was when he wanted to apply for casino licenses. When he has been asked to share those returns in order to convince voters to support him, Trump has steadfastly refused to comply.
He has said that he is under “audit” and can’t release his returns. Of course, the IRS has stated that it would be perfectly legal for Trump to release those returns, and that doing so would not interfere in any way with an audit. Still, the slimy orange menace has insisted that he can’t release his returns because of the audit.
When his returns were released, in order to boost his business development through his casinos, the public saw that he didn’t pay any federal income taxes at all.
As this information was brought up tonight, Secretary Clinton pointed out that Mr. Trump failed to pay for education, for the military, for infrastructure improvements.
What was Trump’s response?
He cut into her time by saying, “This makes me smart.”

Smart?
Oh, Mr. Trump. This makes you the problem. This makes you so self centered that you can’t even understand how the tax system works.
Mr. Trump, the fact that you refuse to share your tax information with us is an admission of your tendency to walk the fine line between good business and illegal tax evasion.
The fact that you are hiding your earnings and your tax payments is proof to a lot of us that you’ve been skirting the law. It’s proof that you are hiding something big.
The bottom line is this: when you did share your taxes with the public, what we learned is that you paid no federal income taxes at all.
You’re a cheater.
