Virginia Congressman Dave Brat is clearly much dumber than the average Republican, and he proved that when he appeared on a radio show last week and was asked by the host, John Fredericks:
“Help me understand, what is Black Lives Matter rioting about in Charlotte?”
“Well, that’s just sub-groups, some of these radical groups that are funded out of George Soros’ pot of money and just some confused people.”
And then Brat started in on an extended rant which is so patently ridiculous that it will likely make your head hurt, saying:
“The Democrat policy in education is holding back an entire generation from being successful, and then you end up with this racial system when your school system … [is] teaching them about isosceles triangles but we’re not giving them any hope.
“There is institutional racism. And if Obama and Hillary want to talk about institutionalized racism, I just mentioned the source of it. It’s their own policies. that’s where the institutional racism is, right? When you don’t tell people what is ethically good and bad, right, if you cannot even define what a morally good life is anymore and you block the Bible and you block the Judeo-Christian tradition and you block the Baptist church, which is fundamental in the African-American community, from being the voice of power and the only hope you give is a broken federal system of government …”
Wait…what in the hell did he just say? Racism exists because the Bible has been blocked?!
Brat also told Fredricks that he had recently visited a prison and talked with inmates who had been heroin addicts. He claims they told him we need to:
“Get the Bible back in the classroom and religion back in the classroom so my kids and grandkids don’t end up like me.”
Oh yeah, because back when the Bible was allowed in schools, along with mandatory prayer, no one ever experimented with drugs or got hooked on smack. Are you kidding me?!
Sounds to me like Dave Brat needs to put down his Bible and read a book on American history.
