WATCH: SUV Driver Speeds Through ‘Leave N*****s’ Graffiti Protesters – NOT Charged

On the heels of a USA Today guest columnist’s barbaric suggestion that drivers should use their cars to plow down protesters in the streets, the words nearly become reality at Eastern Michigan University.

According to Raw Story, students gathered in protest of racist vandalism painted in one of the student buildings on campus. The report says that:

“The vandals spray-painted “KKK” and the words ‘leave n*****s’ inside the building.

The university president, James Smith, condemned the message and promised to investigate the racist vandalism.”

Students gathered in protest in front of the building. The protest then spilled out on to the street. Apparently one driver felt it appropriate to slowly use her SUV as a cattle guard.

From the video it’s difficult to tell, but it actually looks like people might have been climbing on and lifting the drivers’ side of the SUV, in which case she may have felt in danger and certainly entitled to ensure her safety.

According to the piece:

“One of the students described the driver as a woman, and sheriff’s deputies said they later questioned the motorist but did not file any charges.

Authorities did not release any information about the driver or why they decided not to charge her.”

The fact she was not charged leads me to believe that authorities arrived at the same conclusion that I arrived at.  Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.

Do you think the SUV driver was right to speed away, or do you think she was needlessly reckless? Watch the video and decide for yourself:
