NEW POLL: Majority Of Voters Say Trump Would Default On Debt And Use Nuclear Weapons

Are voters really paying attention during this crucial race for the White House? Or are they being led by personalities and slogans? A new poll has some contrasting answers to those questions.

According to a poll conducted by SurveyMonkey for the Lincoln Leadership Initiative, a majority of voters surveyed said they believe Donald Trump would default on the American debt and use the powers of his office to punish those who disagree with him.

Additionally, fully 46 percent of those asked also said they think Trump would indeed use nuclear weapons against ISIS or another enemy of the United States.

On other issues, a majority of voters also expressed the belief that Trump would create a database to track Muslims entering the United States and order military strikes against the families of those suspected of terrorism.

What would be the result here at home? To that question, 65 percent of respondents said there would be race riots in major cities if Trump became President. 44 percent said they would expect Trump to set up internment camps for illegal immigrants.

Those who support Trump had differing views on what he would do as President: 48 percent say he’ll create a database to track Muslims; 36 percent say there would be race riots; 33 percent say the government would default on its debt; and 32 percent say Trump would punish his political opponents and authorize internment camps for illegal immigrants.

While these results clearly show that Trump is indeed getting his message across, they also suggest large numbers of Americans expect chaos if indeed Trump becomes leader of the free world. What remains to be seen is whether or not the same majority of voters will cast their ballots in opposition to such a dangerous man.
