How Did Hillary Clinton Become So Hated? (VIDEO)

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is hated all over the country. Republicans have spent years hating this woman. Some people would rather vote for the lying, screaming oompa loompa than this woman who actually has political experience. She has been first lady, a senator, Secretary of State, and a lawyer. She has the most experience of the candidates.

If you watch the crowds at Trump rallies, you will see signs and t-shirts with slogans such as “Hillary for prison” or “Hillary’s lies matter.” They never seem to care about how often Trump lies.

This perception of Hillary Clinton being corrupt and untrustworthy has been stewing for decades. A friend of the Clintons and a former Deputy Chief of Staff in the White House, Greene McCarthy, said:

“There’s just a huge amount of bullshit, and it’s been going on for decades. This is too important of an election to buy into a false narrative. But the noise just drowns out any sort of critical thinking.”

The fact that this race is so close is scary. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is one of the least qualified candidates to ever run for president. Many people have accused her of hiding things and being corrupt. However, she is running on a very liberal platform. She wants universal background checks for people buying guns. She has been advocating for women and families for decades. Yet, people still see her as hateful and “crooked.”

Clinton’s longtime aide, Jennifer Klein, said:

“She is somebody who wants to be president for all the right reasons. I mean, that’s the irony of all of these negative characterizations: You couldn’t find a person who is more dedicated to improving people’s lives than Hillary Clinton.”

After her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, Fox News insulted her tone of voice. It could be misogyny and sexism, but this hatred of her goes beyond that.

Robin Lakoff, a professor emeritus at U.C. Berkely, said:

“With Hillary, everything she does is either different from what men do and it’s ‘wrong,’ or it’s the same thing that men do and that’s ‘wrong. And that’s because the underlying thing about Clinton and her candidacy is it’s not normal. Normal is a male candidate, a male voice, a male tie.”

When she was First Lady, she was one of the most liberated women to ever live in the White House. People criticized her decision to keep up her law practice while serving as First Lady. Feminist leader Marilyn Webb said that a feminist coming into the White House was just “too jarring” for the American public. This anti-feminist hate still exists today. During her campaign, she has been accused of “playing the woman card” too much. Now, Fox News and other conservative news outlets are trying to “educate” us millennials on Clinton. Some people will hate no matter how many times we try to show how trustworthy she is. We need to look past this hatred and vote for her in November because Donald Trump will ruin the country.

Here are the Young Turks talking about how young voters feel about the candidates:
