Is The GOP Nominee Just Cthulu In Disguise? Stephen King Says YES (TWEETS)

If anyone knows how to breed terror into the hearts and minds of people, it’s Stephen King. That man knows horror. But when he compared Cthulu to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Cthulu was NOT HAPPY.

GOP Nominee Is Cthulu In Disguise

King, who is almost as well known for his political activism as he is for his books, tweeted the following on September 12:

Cthulu, one of H.P. Lovecraft’s “Great Old Ones,” was NOT amused. It makes sense, though – Cthulu is “worshipped by deranged human cults,” which sounds an awful lot like Trump’s supporters.

What you may not know is that Cthulu put his cap in the race for president in August of 2015. So far, he’s not on any ballots anywhere, though, and they won’t let him into the debates. There are security issues, I hear. Plus they can’t find a podium big enough.

Anyway …

Cthulu took to Twitter to denounce Stephen King’s proclamation, and he did so in a fantastic statement.

The letter, filled with references to many of King’s novels, was Cthulu’s way of saying “Oh hell no,” while at the same time doffing his cap tentacles to the greatness of Stephen King.

And They’re Still Going At It

King doubled down on his initial tweet last night.

Of course it is, Mr. King. I’m with you.

Cthulu fired back:

I can only hope these two keep at it for a while, because this is Twitter gold.

Oh, and in case you wanted a t-shirt:
