WATCH: Hannity Once Called Julian Assange A TRAITOR, Now Wants To BFF Him, Drools For More Clinton Dirt

Well, holy flip-flop.

These conservatives really can turn on a dime, can’t they?

Slate reports that conservative big mouth Sean Hannity has had a complete change of heart when it comes to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

There was a time in the not so distant past when Hannity said that Assange should be arrested. He called the man a traitor because his organization was leaking classified information. He said:

“Why didn’t they go after this guy and why didn’t they arrest him? Why didn’t they stop this from being published when we had so much time to do it?”

Of course, back then the leaked information was from military leaders, the Bush administration and Sarah Palin. Back then good old boy conservative Hannity tried to act all patriotic, claiming that the leaking of classified documents put our national security at risk and yada, yada, yada.

Today is a new day for Hannity who now wants to be besties with Assange.

Yes, the same Julian Assange who the talk show host wanted to send to jail appeared on Fox News this week. Now Hannity not only wants Assange to be free, he practically wants to pin a medal on him.

This time, after Assange talked about all the dirt he has allegedly dug up on the Democrats, Hannity gushed:

“Wow. Julian Assange, fascinating. I do hope you get free one day. I wish you the best. Thank you for being with us.”

My goodness gracious. What a turn around.

I wonder what’s changed?

Wikileaks is still the same outfit that hacks into private and government servers and then releases the juicy stuff that it finds. It’s mission hasn’t changed at all.

Julian Assange is still the same self-righteous and arrogant hacker that he’s always been. He certainly hasn’t changed, in spite of being under virtual house arrest for the past 6 years.

Ah, but now the target of his hacks isn’t the military or the Republicans. Now Assange is after Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and the DNC. Aha.

Now all of a sudden, for Hannity, it isn’t a national security issue to hack into and release private emails. Lo and behold, Sean Hannity is suddenly all about freedom of information and the First Amendment and more transparency.

Gag.

Sean Hannity and Fox News would welcome the devil himself if he came in to put Hillary Clinton in a bad light. What a damn hypocrite.
