During his entire campaign, the now Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has claimed that he tells the truth. He says that he hates “political correctness,” he uses this excuse to insult people. He lies constantly. Politifact did some digging and found that Trump only speaks the truth about 23 percent of the time.

Here are a few examples:
1. He said that Hillary Clinton will grant amnesty to immigrants. He also thinks she will give them Obamacare and Medicare and kill the federal budget. Politifact rating: Mostly false.
-She doesn’t say that on her website. She does mention making a “pathway to citizenship” for immigrants during her first 100 days.
2. “The number of immigrants could be 3 million. It could be 30 million.” Rating: Pants on Fire!
-The rate is 11 million.
3. “Inner city crime is reaching record levels.” Rating: Pants on Fire!
-The murder rates have been going down for years.
4. He said, Hillary Clinton wants to raise business taxes up to 50 percent. Rating: False.
-The business taxes are staying around 36 percent.
5. He said we were going to build a wall before, but we couldn’t get the Environmental Protection Agency approval. Rating: False.
-There was a bill to add more fencing at the border, but environmental agencies were not involved.
6. “Hillary Clinton wants immigrants collecting Social Security benefits.” Rating: Mostly false.
-The immigrants won’t be able to get any government benefits at all.
7. Trump is constantly saying that the election will be rigged. Rating: Pants on Fire!
-He has actually said this about other elections. He just pulls claims out of his ass. He actually said people would be voting ten times.
His supporters say they like him because “he tells it like it is.” They are full of shit. He is not trustworthy and he is spreading hate and fear mongering.
