John Kasich Just Pissed Off Millennial Nerds Everywhere (TWEETS/VIDEO)

You may recognize this Republican asshole from the primaries. John Kasich is the Governor of Ohio and he was in the Republican race…or clown car… however you want to think of it. The Ohio governor suspended his campaign back in May.

He has denounced Trump, so he’s got that going for him. Back in June, he said:

“You know, it’s painful. It’s painful. You know, people even get divorces, you know? I mean, sometimes, things come out that, look, I’m sorry that this has happened. But we’ll see where it ends up. I’m not making any final decision yet, but at this point, I just can’t do it.”

Kasich has gone and done it now. He came out insulting Daniel Radcliffe, the English actor who played Harry Potter in the movie series. We don’t know the context, but the comment seemingly came out of nowhere.

Kasich said:

“You know that Daniel Radcliffe has declared himself an atheist? I’m serious. What a weird thing. Why would a guy who has had all that success just, I mean, what the hell is wrong with him?”

Kasich must be late to the party because Radcliffe talked about being an atheist back in 2009. He said:

“I’m an atheist but I’m very relaxed about it. I don’t preach my atheism, but I have a huge amount of respect for people like Richard Dawkins who do.”

It seems a bit strange that Kasich would be saying this now. What has Radcliffe done to him?

To me, the sad part is that it’s not being talked about very much. Harry Potter is hugely popular, but people are not talking about this. I guess people don’t really care about atheists.

Mr. Kasich:

Don’t count on getting the millennial vote if you are going to insult Harry Potter.
