Mom Jailed For Shooting ‘Intruder’ In Teen Daughter’s Bedroom – He Goes Free (VIDEO)

Garvin County police officials say a woman, Valerie Fowler, 34, became so enraged after finding a 31-year-old man in her teen daughter’s bedroom that she shot him, twice.

According to KFOR, in the early hours of Monday, August 29, police arrived at a home on Mark Ave in Paoli, Oklahoma, after receiving two calls about a shooting.

Upon arrival, police found a man – whose name has not been released – lying on the porch, suffering from a gunshot wound.

It was later uncovered that the man was allegedly shot by the mother of his 16-year-old girlfriend, who remains unnamed, after she found him in her bedroom.

Investigators spoke with the teen, who stated that her boyfriend would come to the home three times a week while the mother was away at work.

When she arrived home, she was startled to find a man in her teen daughter’s bedroom and therefore, allegedly opened fire.

The teen and her boyfriend were kissing in her bedroom when her mother suddenly kicked the door in.

The couple immediately jumped out of the bed. As the man attempted to leave the bedroom, Fowler reportedly shot him, and then shot the man again as he was approaching the front door.

Paramedics were called to the home, and they treated the man at the scene before being airlifted to Oklahoma City hospital.

Larry Rhodes, who is with the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office, said:

“He was treated at the scene and transported to an Oklahoma City hospital by medical helicopter.”

“His injuries were non-life threatening. It did appear to the chief and I that he suffered a gunshot wound to an extremity.”

After police investigated the Oklahoma shooting, they arrested the mother on charges of “assault and battery with a deadly weapon.”

Police transported Fowler to the Garvin County jail, but was bailed out of jail later that day.

Fowler said:

“It’s just, it’s not fair – Just the whole thing.”
