Former GOP Sec. Of State, Henry Kissinger and George Shultz, are about to announce, jointly, who they will be endorsing in the 2016 presidential race.
Speculations are forming, based on the pair’s discouraging comments about Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump, that they will agreeably be endorsing Hillary Clinton as the next POTUS.
Though Hillary Clinton’s former running mate, Bernie Sanders, thinks an endorsement from Henry Kissinger is anything but positive, Clinton went on record at a February Democratic Debate stating:
“I was very flattered when Henry Kissinger said I ran the State Department better than anybody had run it in a long time.”
Knowing that their history and pull within the Republican party is firm, Kissinger and Shultz feel their joint endorsement will be stronger than their individual ones. Shultz went on record with his support of a joint endorsement by declaring:
“We are going to do it together. It will have more of an impact.”
In an interview with Time magazine, Kissinger outwardly spoke about his dislike for Donald Trump and his stance on foreign policy. Kissinger told reporters:
“On foreign policy, you identify many key problems. I do not generally agree with the solutions. One-shot outcomes are probably not possible.”
Support for Hillary Clinton seems imminent when you note the shots Henry Kissinger took at Trump’s proposed policy changes and George Shultz outwardly replying to thought of Trump being elected with:
“God help us.”
The big question on everyone’s mind at this point is whether the support of these two prominent Republicans will hurt or help Clinton’s campaign.
