There’s a new bit of conservative lingo floating around the internet. The alternative right, or “alt-right,” is short for “alternative right” and is another term for right-wing extremists. It’s actually a relatively new term for the Right-Wing Nut Jobs (RWNJs) that we have always known.
They’re attempting to rebrand themselves – again.
Market Watch defines alt-right:
“’Alt-right’ is short for ‘alternative right,’ to distinguish the movement from mainstream conservatism. There’s no one way to define its ideology, but it is often associated with efforts on the far right to preserve ’white identity,’ oppose multiculturalism and defend ‘Western values.”
One of Liberal America’s own writers, Robert L. Franklin, gave this apt commentary on the “alt-right” term:
“Donald Trump has effectively handed the keys of the Republican machine to the alt-right, a collective of modern hipster conservatives — predominantly young white males — who flagrantly stand in stark contrast to their suit-wearing counterparts in Washington, middle fingers extended.”
Normally, this would be a fringe group, but with the hateful orange menace running for president, they have crawled out of the woodwork. It has triggered many angry opinion articles from all sides of the spectrum.
Democrats just dismiss it as right-wing bigotry, but Republicans (except Trump) don’t want to be accused of being racist, even though many are.
There are plenty of terms associated with this movement, including:
1. “White Genocide”
This term is used by racists to imply that there is going to be a decline in the white population. They claim that increasing diversity (through immigration) will cause this decline.
They also want to stop all kinds of race-mixing via procreation. They actually tweeted this bigoted bullshit:

2. Cuckservatives
This is a mash-up of the terms cuckold and conservative. They use this derogatory term to refer to someone who they call a “race traitor.”
They are generally more intelligent than your run-of-the-mill racist skinheads.
They may actually be Libertarians, an alternative political ideology. They basically took the left’s caricature of racist Republicans and turned the volume up on it. They are what happens when internet trolls form a “movement.”

3. The ‘1488ers’
This is a sub-group within the alt-right. These are the REAL racists and bigots, not the hipsters of the alt-right.
The name comes from two ideas. The 14 refers to a quote from Adolph Hitler:
“We Must Secure The Existence Of Our People And A Future For White Children.”
The number eight refers to the “letter H,” the eighth letter in the alphabet. The number 88 stands for “HH,” which refers to “Heil Hitler!”
