Louisiana Governor Basically Tells Trump To F**K Off, Won’t Allow Him To Exploit Flood Victims (VIDEO)

Louisiana has experienced a tragic amount of flooding. Over 40,000 homes have been damaged, and 30,000 people have been rescued.

On Thursday, Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, announced plans to go to Louisiana. Their Governor, John Bel Edwards, is not having The Donald’s bullsh*t.

A spokesman for Edwards’ office said:

“Donald Trump hasn’t called the governor to inform him of his visit. We welcome him to LA but not for a photo-op. Instead, we hope he’ll consider volunteering or making a sizable donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund to help the victims of the storm.”

The nominee’s visit will make them divert police officers to keep Trump safe. Those officers should be helping victims.

As reported by Winning Democrats, Governor Edwards said on Rachel Maddow’s show last week about  President Obama visiting:

“The president is welcome anytime he wants to come…In all honesty, he was gonna visit I would just assume it’d be a week or ten days, fourteen days from now because the vice president was here about three weeks ago to a memorial service for the victims of the police officers who were killed here and I will tell you it is a major ordeal. They free up the interstate for them, we have to take hundreds of local first responders, police officers, sheriff’s deputies and state troopers to provide security for that type of visit. I would just as soon have those people engaged in the response rather than trying to secure the president. So I’ve asked him to wait, if he would, another couple of weeks.”

Donald Trump went anyway and toured the damage.

Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, said:

“My heart breaks for Louisiana, and right now, the relief effort can’t afford any distractions. The very best way this team can help is to make sure Louisianans have the resources they need.”

One resident, Terry Phinney, said this of Trump and his visit:

“I just appreciate his passion. When he looked me in the eye and shook my hand, it felt real. The guy is down here for more than just a vote. I feel like this is legit. So he’s got my vote.”

The residents may think it’s nice, but they don’t realize how many resources Trump is using up.
