My goodness. You can’t trust anyone anymore!
The Huffington Post reports that earlier this week, a young woman came to the campaign offices of Russ Feingold, the former Democratic Senator from Wisconsin. Mr. Feingold is seeking to regain his Senate seat in November, and has been signing up volunteers to help.
The young woman who wanted to volunteer for the liberal Senate candidate called herself Allison Moss. She said that she had been a member of the group “College Democrats” at the University of Minnesota.
I know it will shock you, but this conservative Republican told a lie.
In fact, she told a few of them.

Her name is actually Allison Maass and she is a former reporter for Campus Reform. A quick look at that site shows a loose attachment to the truth, to put it mildly. There are articles claiming that Hillary Clinton wants to repeal the Second Amendment and that white students are being oppressed on various college campuses.
Campus Reform is part of a conservative organization called the Leadership Institute. That organization also gave rise to something called Project Veritas, which hilariously means project “truth.” Its purpose is to entrap liberal groups and Democratic campaigns into illegal activities which it then tries to expose.
The young lady was not really a liberal after all. Shocking dishonesty, no?
As it turns out, Ms. Maass had previously turned up in the campaign offices of both Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. She had been tossed out of both.
Luckily for Democrats, while so many conservatives seem to be skilled liars, they are also fairly stupid. For example, Ms. Maass joined the Sanders campaign and told them that she lived in California. She then provided a New York phone number. They got a little suspicious and checked her out.
Another Project Veritas member called the liberal Open Society Institute and claimed to be a Hungarian-American representing a foundation. He might have gotten away with it if he had remembered to hang up the phone before he started talking about the plot with his friends.
Dishonest and dumb. No wonder they’re voting for Trump.
