WATCH: Scared Wingnut David Horowitz Hopes Trump Administration Locks Up George Soros Too

Lately, the de facto battle cry for Donald Trump’s supporters has been “Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!” But one prominent wingnut thinks that a prospective Trump administration shouldn’t just stop at sending Hillary Clinton to Club Fed. He hopes that another one of the far right’s pet hates joins Hillary there as well.

On Thursday, Tucker Carlson and his friends at The Daily Caller revealed that George Soros and his Open Society Foundations tried to influence the Supreme Court’s decision on President Obama’s executive action on immigration. How did Soros attempt to impose his extreme librul will on the Supremes? He did it by–horrors!–employing a “sophisticated amicus briefs and media strategy” to support the Obama administration.

It’s very common for groups on both sides of a case to file amicus briefs, and this case was no exception. But when David Horowitz got word that Soros had weighed in on the case, he hit the ceiling. Don’t take my word for it, folks. Watch here.

When Hayworth mentioned the briefs, he asked Horowitz what he thought about Soros “using his money to influence the Supreme Court.” Horowitz denounced Soros as a “a Jew-hater, an Israel-hater and an America-hater” who is Hillary’s puppet master.

Horowitz was outraged that Soros would dare to exercise his right to file amicus briefs before the Supreme Court. After all, in Horowitz’ world, when liberals do this, they’re America-haters. When conservatives do it, they’re patriots. But he thought the briefs shouldn’t distract from Soros’ wider legacy as “the Lenin of the anti-American left.”

He then made a breathtaking declaration: “Soros should be in jail” for “formenting civil unrest.” Earlier, Newsmax reported on Soros’ role in bankrolling the Black Lives Matter movement. On that basis, Horowitz believes Soros should be arrested for “getting those policemen killed, tearing up cities.” At first, it seemed that Horowitz couldn’t make up his mind. In the same breath that he called for Soros’ arrest, he conceded that “of course, you can’t put him in jail,” and hoped someone sued him.

Later, though, Horowitz said that there’s little chance the Justice Department and FBI will do anything for now, he believes that a Trump administration should make Soros’ arrest, conviction, and imprisonment a top priority if the Republicans win the election.

“You can’t expect a Justice Department that’s headed by a criminal or an FBI that’s in bed with them to do something about this. But hopefully Trump will win the election and when the Republicans come in, I hope they go after Soros and shut him down.”

Later, Hayworth and Horowitz discussed Soros’ appearance at the World Economic Forum, at which Soros declared that Trump was doing the work of ISIS. At this point, Horowitz dropped any pretense of democracy.

“The Achilles heel of Western civilization is its tolerance for people that hate it. This man is an enemy of Western civilization, and of America in particular, and he’s treated like he’s just a normal actor. He needs to be in jail.”

So in the world of Horowitz, a liberal who speaks out should be at risk for arrest. Whenever anyone suggests that someone should be jailed for speaking out, it sends a chill down my spine. But in looking at Horowitz’ call for Soros’ arrest by a Trump administration, I can’t help but remember that Benito Mussolini started as a socialist before veering hard to the right and openly declaring that his program was to “smash the heads of the socialists.” If anyone thinks that Horowitz’ statement is any different, there’s a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.

Want to hear some irony? Horowitz was undoubtedly the target of the same barbs half a century ago. For those who don’t know, Horowitz started his career as a New Left intellectual–a guy who would make Soros and most Democrats sound like Antonin Scalia. However, he drifted well to the right in the early 1980s. Sounds like Horowitz has now come full circle.
