Teen Girls Pretend To Be Pregnant To Smuggle Watermelon And Snacks Into A Movie Theater (PICS, TWEETS)

Going to the movies can be expensive; $8.00 for a basic ticket, $4.00 for a soda, $6.00 for popcorn, and $5.00 for a box of Buncha Crunch. By the time you’ve made it in to see the movie, you could have had a nice dinner at the local Olive Garden.

Well, a group of California teens solved that problem by faking their pregnancies using watermelons to sneak snacks into a movie theater.

Priscilla Banuelos, 18, and her friends, Alyssa Lopez, Angie Silveira, and Amador Costa took a girls trip to the Galaxy Movie Theater in Riverbank, California, Wednesday night.

Banuelos told BuzzFeed News the girls hollowed out one of the watermelons to sneak snacks inside the theater.

They used saran wrap and duct tape to hold the watermelons close to their bodies, giving the illusion of a pregnant belly.

When the movie was over and it was time to go home, the girls didn’t want to be known as the watermelon smugglers-although they posted it on Twitter-so, they left the melons in their seats.

An employee of the movie theater replied to Banuelos’ feed that he was not so happy about the “melon mess.”

Banuelos told BuzzFeed:

There weren’t any trash cans in the theater,”

They left the evidence instead.

What about the fact the girls walked in the theater “pregnant” and walked out not pregnant? That’s a little suspicious.

Some Tweeters question the sticky mess:

Others are calling the girls dumb for not sneaking the snacks in with a purse:

Banuelos replied to the haters by changing her bio on Twitter.

The girls have received 23 thousand retweets and 33 thousand likes on their pregnant melon-belly pictures at the time of writing this.

But what I really want to know is what kind of snacks did they sneak in? Twizzlers? Whoppers? Lays Potato Chips?
