Tony Perkins Lost His House In The Louisiana Flood – Let The Gay Bashing Begin (VIDEO)

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, which is infamous for it’s strict anti-gay religious stance, had his home in Southern Louisiana destroyed by massive flooding this week.

Perkins has appeared in media on many occasions to warn against gay rights, and specifically to argue against gay marriage.

For example, Dead State just published an article with an audio interview from last year, in which Perkins says that God is trying to send us a message through natural disasters. In the interview, he agrees with his guest that Hurricane Joaquin may hit D.C. as a punishment for gay marriage.

If there is such a thing as Karma, it has certainly found a way to get back at Perkins.

While no one wants to make fun of a person who has just lost his home, it’s a bit ironic that Perkins’ house was among the Southern Louisianan homes destroyed by massive flooding this week.

Considering his previous claims that natural disasters are God’s way of punishing gays, how exactly does he explain this happening to his own house?

Apparently the flood was of “biblical proportions,” forcing him and his family to live in a camper for 6 months, until the house can be rebuilt. However, this particular flood wasn’t sent to punish the gays. Instead, this flood was an

“incredible, encouraging spiritual exercise to take you to the next level in your walk with an almighty and gracious God who does all things well.”

Ok… I guess if you don’t believe in science, you’re free to adjust your own reasoning too so you can wiggle your way out of previous, and in this context, slightly embarrassing, claims.

If God, who does all things well, sent him this as lesson to learn, the point is sorely missed.
