Yet Another Powerful Voice Slamming Trump In Public (VIDEO)

The chorus of powerful voices speaking out against Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump continues to grow.

Variety reports that NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt took to Facebook to slam the nominee.

Greenblatt knows Trump very well, having worked with him during the days of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ on the network back in 2011. His opinion isn’t just based on the epic amount of bullsh*t coming from the Trump campaign. It is based on a real live relationship between the two men.

Apparently Greenblatt read Sunday’s New York Times op-ed entitled ‘Donald Trump is Making America Meaner.’ In response, the NBC executive posted on his personal Facebook page.

Although the post has now been taken down, it got a lot of attention on Facebook when it first appeared. Greenblatt didn’t pull any punches when it came to discussing Trump. He wrote:

“The sad state of affairs thanks to a pompous businessman turned reality TV star (whose show consistently ran LAST in its time period, by the way) who thinks speaking his mind is refreshing. It’s actually corrosive and toxic because his ‘mind’ is so demented; and his effect will unfortunately linger long after he’s been told to get off the stage.”

Since Trump’s announcement that he was running for president, his relationship with NBC has soured considerably. The network ended Trump’s involvement with ‘The Apprentice.’ They also decided to no longer broadcast the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, both run by Trump.

At the time, NBC said that their decision was based on the derogatory comments Trump made about immigrants. The network released a statement saying that:

respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values.”

It seems that NBC and its chief executive are feeling some shame for Trump’s political success. Another network executive, Paul Telegdy, recently said that Trump’s political position is partly the result of his role on ‘The Apprentice.’

Wow. If that’s true, it’s a lot of guilt to live with. No wonder Mr. Greenblatt expressed his disgust on Facebook.
