Top 5 Companies Who Are Definitely NOT Friends Of The LGBT Community (VIDEO)

Many right-wingers are against the LGBT community. They keep trying to pass discriminatory laws all over the country. In June, Tennessee passed a law allowing mental health professionals to turn away LGBT patients. Here in my home state, Alabama, we have Chief Supreme Court justice, Roy Moore, trying to keep same-sex couples from getting marriage licenses. He is now going to trial because of it.

1. Chick-Fil-A

This is a famous one. The CEO, Dan Cathy, believes in “traditional marriage.” I refuse to eat chicken with a side of hate. It’s so bad that Denver, Colorado’s City Council didn’t allow Chick-Fil-A to build in their airport.

2. Purina

This company is all about feeding the animals, but they don’t treat their LGBT employees very well. They don’t have any anti-discrimination policies in place. Same-sex couples don’t get ANY benefits.

3. The Salvation Army

Many people see this company as great. The bell ringers pop up around Christmas time and make us all feel guilty. Remember, if you donate to them, you donate to a bigot group. Their founder, William Booth, fought against the three As: Alcoholism, Atheism, and Anarchy. They are also extremely homophobic. Just stay away from this company altogether.

4. Domino’s

This famous pizza company is very homophobic. The founder, Tom Monaghan, campaigned against non-discrimination ordinances.  He said:

“I don’t understand why we continually have to have discussions about who should and who shouldn’t be included, in terms of our nondiscrimination policy, because I think identifying specific, special-interest groups or specific entities within the institution almost implies that unless you’re on that list, then somehow we think you should be treated differently than people who are on that list. It should not be about lists.”

5. Carl’s Jr.

This fast-food chain has had people referring to their burgers as “bigot burgers.” One person described founder, Carl Karcher, said:

“He was reviled by abortion rights activists for his contributions to anti-abortion groups and his oft-repeated story about talking a Carl’s Jr. employee out of an abortion. Gay rights groups dubbed his hamburgers “bigot burgers” after Karcher supported a 1978 proposition that would have allowed school boards to fire teachers who were gay or advocated homosexuality.”

To end this list on a happy note, here are some pro-gay rights stores to give your business to:
