WATCH: Trump’s Latest Claim About ISIS Will Have You Laughing

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has never been one to let pesky facts get in the way of saying whatever pops into his head. Last night at a rally in Sunrise, Florida, Trump aimed his reckless rhetoric at President Obama, calling him the founder of radical terrorist group ISIS. And he wanted to make sure that everyone heard him:

“In fact, in many respects, you know, they honor President Obama. ISIS is honoring President Obama. He’s the founder of ISIS. He’s the founder of ISIS. He’s the founder. He founded ISIS.”

Obama wasn’t the only person who started the group, though, according to Trump:

“I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.”

He claims that Obama’s middle east policy created the conditions for ISIS, when the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were started under the Bush administration. He also said that he opposed America’s involvement in Iraq, despite evidence to the contrary. But once again, who needs those pesky facts?

This isn’t the first time Trump has attempted to paint both Clinton and Obama with a “radical Islamic terrorist” brush. In 2011 Trump led the charge of the “birther” movement, which claimed that the incumbent president was Muslim and not really an American citizen.

And just for good measure, Trump threw in a dash of hypocrisy when he criticized the Clinton campaign for allowing the Pulse nightclub’s shooter’s father at a Clinton rally. Trump really shouldn’t be one to be a moral compass of who comes to a candidate’s rally, because sitting behind him in the stands was Mark Foley, the disgraced Congressman who resigned after sending sexual explicit messages to underage male pages. Of course, Trump will likely claim that he does not know who Mark Foley is, or that he was even at the rally.

Looks like the Trump camp has yet another fire to put out. Yesterday he was calling for “2nd Amendment people” to take matters into their own hands regarding Clinton, which was interpreted by some as a call to violence. Now he’s accusing the President of the United States and a former Secretary of State of founding one of the most vile terrorist groups in human history.

And this is the man the GOP picked to represent their party.
