Can He Sink Any Lower? Trump Lied About A Donation To A Children’s Charity (VIDEO)

Back in October, the now Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, had a rally in Las Vegas. A friend of his, Phil Ruffin, the owner of the Treasure Island Casino, introduced him. He mentioned that Trump had donated $20 million to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Ruffin said:

“He could have used that $20 million for television ads, but he decided to give with children with cancer. That’s Donald Trump.”

After that, Trump spoke for about an hour. He talked about his poll numbers, the GOP presidential debate, and other things. He didn’t, however, talk about this supposed gift.

He has given $92,603 to St. Jude’s over the last five years.

A spokeswoman for the hospital, Kelly Schulz, said that they haven’t gotten a gift that large from Donald Trump. She also said that St. Jude’s doesn’t publicize any information about their donors.

Trump’s son, Eric, runs a foundation, that is raising money for St. Jude’s. Donald Trump did donate some money to that at some point, but it is a separate entity.

Eric Trump said that his foundation is working on giving St. Jude’s a large amount of money over the next ten years. What was that amount? $20 million.

It seems like The Donald might be taking credit for his son’s work. The Eric Trump Foundation gained naming rights on a new surgical and intensive-care center.

Donald Trump is worth a lot, but he doesn’t seem to think that giving to charity is a part of his public image. Since 1984, he has given $7.8 million to charities. He tries to be as cheap as possible.

To make it look like he gives a lot, he goes to many fundraiser galas and other fancy events. The Donald actually made money off of these galas because some of them were held at his resorts.

I can’t believe how anyone could lie about that. Trump is truly despicable.

Here is a video from The Young Turks about Trump’s charity donations:
