Here Are Some Other Times Donald Trump Said He Was ‘Misunderstood’ (VIDEOS)

Yesterday in Wilmington, North Carolina, GOP nominee Donald Trump seemed to suggest that should Hillary Clinton win the election in November, it might be necessary for “Second Amendment people” to take matters into their own hands. Later, Trump insisted on “Hannity” that he had been misunderstood.

There have been more than a few occasions when Trump has made outrageous and disturbing comments, then tried to ameliorate them by saying the media “misunderstood” him. Here’s several of them:

  • Nov. 24, 2015: “Now, the poor guy, you ought to see this guy, ‘Ah, I don’t know what I said, I don’t remember, I don’t remember, maybe that’s what I said.'”

Trump said this in connection with New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who has a physical disability:

Trump later said:

“I didn’t know what he looked like. I didn’t know he was disabled. I didn’t know it, I didn’t know it at all. I had no idea. So I started imitating somebody — I didn’t speak to the guy.”

  • March 30, 2016: “There has to be some form of punishment” for women who have abortions.

This remark was made during an MSNBC Town Hall with Chris Matthews, and then Trump attempted to walk it back by commenting:

“I’m asked hundreds of questions a day. You multiply that by months and months and months, and every once in awhile, if you misspeak — I was very focused on the topic of the Catholic Church. The difference is that if I say something that’s off, if I say something that’s off one way or another, it gets massive publicity. If somebody else does it, nobody cares.”

  • June 13, 2016: “We’re led by a man who is a very — look, we’re led by a man that either is, is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind.”

Trump made these comments about President Obama and seemed to be suggesting that the President was somehow in sympathy with ISIS or others who commit acts of terrorism. He later blamed uproar over the comment on media bias.

  • June 3, 2016: “I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest.”

Yes, this is what the GOP nominee said in regard to federal judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over the fraud lawsuit against Trump University. Judge Curiel was born in the United States and is of Mexican heritage.

The Orange Menace had this to say when he got complaints from fellow Republicans:

“It is unfortunate that my comments have been misconstrued as a categorical attack against people of Mexican heritage. I am friends with and employ thousands of people of Mexican and Hispanic descent. I do not feel that one’s heritage makes them incapable of being impartial, but, based on the rulings that I have received in the Trump University civil case, I feel justified in questioning whether I am receiving a fair trial.”

Donald Trump is not a viable candidate for the office of President of the United States. He is, instead, a domestic terrorist masquerading as a political entity. His comments yesterday regarding Hillary Clinton should lead to him being charged with threatening the life of a Presidential candidate. The penalty for such an offense is five years in federal prison. Granted, that doesn’t seem nearly long enough, but at least it’s a start.
