WATCH: Trump Spokeswoman ‘Defends’ His Track Record With Women — By Eviscerating Him

In a cringeworthy segment on MSNBC’s AM Joy this past weekend, Donald Trump spokesperson, Heidi Harris, was asked to defend his record with women.

The first part of the segment focused on Donald Trump’s history of siding with accused sexual assault perpetrators, such as Fox News’ ousted chief Roger Ailes, rather than with victims.

Also, when asked about the uphill climb Trump faces in winning over female voters, Harris chose instead to attack Hillary Clinton.

Host Joy Reid called Harris out on what has become the Trump campaign’s typical tactic of deflection, saying:

“You know something that’s interesting Heidi? Ask a question about Trump, get an answer about Hillary. This is a consistent sort of trait.”

As the discussion continued, panelist and civil rights lawyer Lisa Bloom laid in to Trump’s long history of misogyny with point by point examples.

Again Reid asked Harris to respond, and again she tried to deflect the discussion away from Trump and toward Mrs. Clinton. Reid was having none of it this time and pressed Harris to defend her candidate, saying:

“I need you to answer what you just heard about Donald Trump. If you can’t defend him just say you can’t defend him.”

In an astonishing and perhaps unwitting admission of Trump’s misogyny, Ms. Harris proceeded to “defend” her candidate in a rapid fire series of questions and answers:

“Do I think that Donald Trump says stupid things about women? Yes.

Do I think Donald Trump likes pretty things, like a lot of rich guys like him, you know, have obtained beautiful women? Sure. Absolutely.

Do I think he’s a crappy example, that he’s had three wives and five kids and cheated on some of them, at least we know for sure that he’s admitted to? Yeah. I don’t think he’s a great example.”

Wow.

With spokespeople like these, who needs enemies?
