WATCH: Trump Surrogates Try To Explain Bad Polls, Make ABSOLUTE FOOLS Of Themselves

Donald Trump’s precipitous slide in the polls over the past week and half is largely due to the fact that the more voters see of him, the more they dislike everything he stands for. Trump is a bully, a moron, and an unrepentant asshole. So we shouldn’t be the least bit surprised that his numbers are tanking.

But to hear four Trump supporters who appeared on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” over the weekend, the polls are wrong. In other words, the people who were polled are just flat wrong and have no idea what they’re saying.

Scottie Nell Hughes, Amy Kremer, John Phillips, and Kristin Tate all told host Brian Stelter that the polls are skewed and not reflective of reality. As if any of them would recognize reality if it came up and bit them squarely on the butt. Kremer remarked:

“You know, polling can be skewed too. By the way the questions are [asked], the number Democrats versus Republicans that are polled. So, you can’t say that there’s not any bias in the polling because I believe there certainly is.”

Stelter reminded Kremer that Republicans tried to say that polls taken in 2012 which showed President Obama beating GOP challenger Mitt Romney were also biased or skewed, yet Obama won an electoral landslide. Kremer replied with this:

“A poll is only a snapshot in time. If people really want to elect Donald Trump, they need to be out there working for Donald Trump until the last ballot is cast.”

To that, Stelter countered:

“But what if I take like 50 snapshots? The Real Clear Politics average has Clinton up by 7 points, that’s outside the margin of error.”

Tea Party Network resident moron Scottie Nell Hughes then decided to weigh in by commenting on a recent poll taken in the state of Georgia which had Clinton up by four points. Hughes said that sample surveyed more Democrats than Republicans, and therefore that explained Clinton’s lead in the Peach State:

“So when you look at that number, of course the percentage is going to be more skewed in Hillary Clinton’s favor. They also weighted the poll differently in August, where they put more weight on the African-American vote, the female vote and the youth vote. Three areas that Hillary Clinton does well on.

That’s why when people see these polls, it’s more important that they go and they get their own research, they pull the numbers themselves.”

Some of did do our research, Ms. Hughes, and here’s what we found:  Five Thirty Eight noted that Abt SRBI, which conducted the Georgia poll, has a track record of calling races 100 percent correctly for Time magazine. Five Thirty Eight also gave the ABT SRBI an overall grade of A-, with only a miniscule bias of 0.4 percent for Democrats.

Trump is behind in these polls because he scares the living daylights out of Americans. And the closer we get to November, you can expect his numbers to continue trending downward.
