BREAKING: Joe Biden Just Officiated A Same-Sex Marriage For Two White House Staffers (VIDEO)

Vice President Joe Biden just officiated a same-sex wedding ceremony for a couple of White House staffers. Biden tweeted the photo below.

The ceremony between Brian Mosteller and Joe Mahshie took place on Monday at 4 p.m.

The vice president obtained a temporary certification from the District of Columbia for the ceremony. Mosteller is the director of Oval Office operations and Mahshie is a trip coordinator for Michelle Obama. Biden said:

“Proud to marry Brian and Joe at my house. Couldn’t be happier, two longtime White House staffers, two great guys.”

Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, tweeted:

“Love is love!”

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden officially endorsed same-sex marriage in 2012. Mosteller has been open about his sexual orientation from day one. He said:

“When I was young, I couldn’t fathom that I could ever have a partner, and now I was with the president of the United States, and together, we were talking this kind of partnership, and it was not only public but so very normal. How often does a boss talk about love? Now, how often does a boss contribute to our country’s blessing of your love?”

Their support has helped us legalize same-sex marriage. The Supreme Court ruled for marriage equality in June of 2015. Unfortunately, this has not stopped the RWNJs from hating on the LGBT community.

In my state, we had the idiotic, bigoted Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Roy Moore, try to stop the same-sex marriage licenses from being issued. He sent out letters telling county clerks not to issue the licenses. A couple of weeks after the ruling, Moore said that Satan made the Supreme Court “destroy the institution of God.”

Finally, Moore got suspended from his post in May of this year because he still wasn’t obeying the ruling. This is embarrassing for my state, but at least our leadership approves of the ruling.
