Look Who Is Defending Trump’s Vile Statements About The Khan Family (VIDEO)

In case you missed it, Donald Trump is in trouble again. Thursday night, Khizr Khan and his wife Ghazala appeared at the Democratic National Convention to talk about their son, a Muslim American soldier who died in Iraq 12 years ago. In his speech, he spoke about his son’s sacrifice and decried Trump’s comments and policies regarding Muslims.

Trump fired back in a typically Islamophobic, idiotic fashion.

His comments about Khizr Khan and family have received widespread judgment, not just from Liberals and Democrats, but also from his fellow Republicans. Senators Lindsey Graham, John McCain, and many others have condemned Trump’s attacks against the Khans.

Even party leaders who have been faithfully towing the party line like Senators Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have stated that they support and back the Khan family and honor their grief and sacrifice, without of course specifically mentioning Donald Trump.

But even when he messes up this badly, Trump still has his apologists.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) appeared on CNN yesterday to talk about the Khan controversy and other topics, and refused to say anything negative about his boy Donald:

“Donald Trump complimented him. He praised his son who gave his life for this country… I don’t think anybody that says that we ought to slow down and be more careful about bringing in immigrants from countries that have terrorist tendencies and can’t be vetted properly, I don’t believe that that’s a person who lacks a soul.”

Seriously? Sessions also commented that he thought Trump behaved appropriately in his comments about the Khan family.

While Sessions isn’t the first person to defend Trump’s actions, he is certainly the first GOP politician to stick his neck out for him during this scandal. It isn’t that surprising, though, when you learn that Sessions is Trump’s foreign policy adviser.

As they say, the company you keep determines your character.
