The U.S. Wasted BILLIONS To Try To Teach African Teens Not To F**k (VIDEO)

For those of us that went to public schools, we may have had some kind of sex education class. Most states in this country make schools teach abstinence-only sex education. Abstinence is a perfectly valid choice, however, many of these programs teach lies and shame.

Many of them lie and say birth control and condoms don’t work. Also, they preach shame and scare tactics to try and get teens to stay abstinent. They tell you that your dreams won’t come true if you have sex before marriage. This was my experience in one of those classes.

Amazingly, the U.S. government spent $1.4 billion on bringing these programs to people in Africa. They taught these classes in the sub-Saharan area in Africa. The area has a high rate of HIV infections.

A study shows that these programs never really worked, but the U.S. government just kept pouring more money into it.

The programs did nothing to change the behavior of teenagers. We could’ve told them that before they spent that money. There was not any detectable change in the rate of teen pregnancy. There was also no change in the age that teens started having sex, and there was no change to the number of sexual partners people had.

A teen in Canada talked about the programs that they have. One student, Emily Dawson, said this about their program:

“It was basically composed of false information about the effectiveness of condoms, and birth control and any form of contraceptive. When questions about LGBTQ were asked, they were immediately shot down with ‘we’re not here to talk about that.'”

The teacher also told them that girls should watch what they wear, and she said that gonorrhea kills people in three days.

It is just criminal to tell young people that sex is evil. Teaching these kinds of lies should be illegal. Sex is not something to be ashamed of.
