You can’t find her website anymore. You get redirected to Donald Trump’s site instead.
That’s odd. Last week Melania’s site was up and running, filled with looping gold letters describing Mrs. Trump. In fact, the elaborate site had a lovely biography of the former Slovenian model. It looked like this:
It highlighted her many accomplishments, including the college degree that she said she earned in design and architecture. Gee. I wonder where it went?
The disappearance of Melania’s life story from the web comes after information surfaced indicating that she did not actually complete her degree when she attended college in her native Slovenia.
An unofficial biographer wrote that she had left college after her freshman year at the University of Ljubljana.
The exaggeration of her credentials was done, by all indications, at the request of the Donald himself. It seems that he didn’t think it was sufficient to marry someone gorgeous, successful and internationally known.
He had to make her lie about her education to prove himself to the public.
When Melania stood in front of the Republican National Convention to give her eloquent and moving speech, conservatives were delighted with the impression she made.
It turned out, though, that even that impression was essentially a lie, as it had been lifted almost word for word from an earlier speech by Michelle Obama.
So it seems that the Trump team has been caught red handed. One lie led to the uncovering of another, and who knows what might have surfaced next?
Now the Huffington Post is reporting that the biographical information about Melania’s college degree has been scrubbed from the internet. Her website is gone. Scrubbed, as they say in tech speak. The screenshots above show her website from last week, and a decade ago.
Now, MelaniaTrump.com redirects to the Trump.com website – coincidentally, it changed only after someone spotted the fake degree.
The article says that when a Trump campaign spokeswoman was asked about the college degree question last week, she declined to either confirm or deny, which is clearly a denial. This lead to a lot of speculation about what else in the on line biography might have been made up.
Those questions seem to have lead to the erasing of Mrs. Trump’s entire professional website. By the Trump team.
That, I think, is completely unfair and totally in keeping with the egomaniac to whom she is married. HER entire career and professional life can be washed away with a few clicks, as long as it serves to cover up at least one of her husband’s multitude of lies.
