New WikiLeaks Email Sends The DNC Into A Spiral

It has been a rough week for the Democratic Party. First the sudden resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairperson of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and now this:  The expected new chairperson of the DNC, Donna Brazile, has been connected by Wikileaks to an email showing evidence of party officials favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the primaries.

Many news sites such as Slate and WIRED are stating that there is a definite connection between the Kremlin and the email hacks. Wikileaks’ Julian Assange retorted that the accusation is part of a smear campaign by the Clinton faction to discredit Wikileaks’ integrity. Julian Assange then went to Twitter to post on the official Wikileaks page further thoughts about the rumors:

This Is Not The End

In an interview with NBC News released on July 25th, Julian Assange stated that while Wikileaks “[had] not disclosed our source,” he denied claims of Russian involvement.

“Well, there is no proof of that whatsoever,” he said. Mr. Assange then intimated that the Democratic Party had considerable interest in diverting the attention away from the information in the emails.

“This is a diversion that’s being pushed by the Hillary Clinton campaign. That’s a meta-story. The real story is what these emails contain and they show collusion” by top party leaders to rig the presidential-primary process in favor of Mrs. Clinton, he said. These emails contributed to our understanding of what appears to be poor behavior by party officials, but the possibility of a connection between Wikileaks and the Kremlin in concerning to say the least.

What This Email Shows

Bring the popcorn because things are going to get ugly. Donald Trump, the man who continually disrespects veterans is gaining voters, while the DNC is in a total meltdown right now. With Bernie Sanders supporters’ protests in the DNC and secret emails released on the regular it seems like things are only going to get worse for Democrats in the near future.  Even though Hillary is still on top when it comes to the public vote, she might not be for much longer.
