WATCH: Bernie Says Stop The ‘Buffoonery’ – Unify In November

Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) has appeared on day one of the Democrat National Convention (DNC) in Philadelphia urging his supporters to get behind former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton. It has become a strange situation in that some Bernie supporters are so behind him, they have become anti-Clinton, booing every time her name is mentioned.

Bernie stated that this was the real worldas he called for his fans to accept that Clinton is now the candidate they need to vote for to defeat Republican Donald Trump in November. As much as they love Sanders, it would do him no favors to elect Trump by default.

Would Bernie voters prefer someone with Democratic principles, or a man with arch opposite values and policies, such as Trump? There is a stark warning here that disunity within Democrat Party, could hand the presidency to Trump.

Bernie addressed his fans:

“Trump is a bully and a demagogue. Trump is a danger for the future of our country and must be defeated.”

The wish to defeat Donald Trump has to override any negative feelings towards Hilary. As much as Bernie supporters may be opposed to Clinton personally, they need to think about who they want in the White House.

Sanders also added:

“I  intend to do everything I can to see that he is defeated.”

The danger of a Trump presidency is clear in many people’s minds. Famed atheist and neuroscientist, Sam Harris has recently explained why he would be supporting Clinton over Trump in a podcast:

“As much as you might hate Hilary Clinton, the one thing you cannot say about her is that she lacks experience.”

Harris goes on to say Trump is “ignorant of science” and that he would feel terrible if in November we wake up to:

“four years of truly consequential buffoonery in office.”

Voters need to make sure that their decision in November, does not have dire consequences.

Bernie Sanders has made it clear he wants his supporters to back Hilary in November and is hoping that message is heard.
