WATCH: Bernie Sanders SILENCES Supporters When They Boo Him

Even after giving a full-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton on the opening night of the Democratic convention, there are apparently some supporters of the Vermont Senator who are still not willing to fall in line and switch their allegiance to the presumptive Democratic nominee.

At a breakfast for the California delegation earlier this morning, Sanders reiterated that it’s imperative for those who voted for him to now fully get onboard and support Hillary Clinton.

Yep, Sanders shut down the boo bird by telling them:

“It is easy to boo, but it is harder to look your kids in the face if we are living under a Trump presidency. Politics is not easy stuff. You don’t get everything you want tomorrow — ask the people who fought in the civil rights movement.”

As I have said on numerous occasions, I voted for Senator Sanders in the Georgia Democratic primary and donated money to his campaign. But he didn’t win the nomination. And it wasn’t because Clinton or the DNC cheated him out of it, so let’s just put away those stale arguments. He lost because he was unable to appeal to the full spectrum of diversity in the party. He was not able to garner the needed support of African-Americans, Hispanics, and the elderly, all of which are essential to winning any Democratic primary. That’s not to say what he accomplished isn’t impressive as hell, because it most certainly is. But the race has been run and a winner has been declared.

The greatest threat this country faces is Donald Trump and Mike Pence in the White House. They will reshape this country in ways we cannot even imagine; ways which will limit the freedoms of us all and impose a version of fascism on this, the greatest democracy that has ever existed.

Senator Sanders said it best last night:

“If you think you can sit it out, take a moment to think about the Supreme Court justices that Donald Trump would nominate and what that would mean to civil liberties, equal rights, and the future of our country.”

Yes, think about it. Then get out on Election Day and vote blue all the way down the ballot. Only then can America maintain the greatness it has achieved.
