Morning Joe: Trump-Putin Bromance Is Scary Sh*t (VIDEO)

Donald Trump seems to change allies and enemies the way most people change socks. One minute he’s making fun of you, the next minute you’re his right hand man.  And then it goes back again. Think of Chris Christie (R-NJ) or Bill Clinton.

Loyalty doesn’t seem to be a key character trait of the Republican nominee.

Perhaps someone should warn Vladimir Putin not to get too comfy with Trump, even though the two seem to be best buds. Putin and his people have called Trump pragmatic, honest and bright. Trump has labeled Putin a strong and powerful leader.

They are both big enough egomaniacs that they admire anyone who admires them first. Yikes. What a bromance.

RawStory is reporting that John Podesta of the Clinton Campaign says it’s obvious the two men are mutual admirers. He said that it looks like Putin had something to do with the Wikileaks release of emails from the DNC. The FBI is investigating Russia’s role in the leaks.

Appearing on “Morning Joe,” Podesta said:

“What we have is a kind of ‘bromance’ going on between Putin and Trump, which is distinct from this leak. And we have the Republican Party platform moving back, saying they won’t defend NATO allies.”

Joe Scarborough, the show’s host, expressed his own concern about the friendly relations between the two would-be dictators. He referred to a recent interview with the New York Times in which Trump said he wouldn’t step up to protect our NATO allies if they were invaded by Russia. Not unless they paid us more money.

What the hell? Putin must have been doing the Russian version of the happy dance all around the Kremlin.

Scarborough called the relationship between the two men “frightening.”  His co-host, Mika Brzezinski agreed with both men that the prospect of two self-centered, power-hungry demagogues was a scary proposition.

Donald Trump, for his part, denied that the Russians were involved in the leaks. He tweeted that the Clinton camp was blaming the Russian government because “Putin likes me.”

Once again, Donald Trump has managed to reduce 75 years of international relations to the kindergarten level. Putin can’t be the enemy if he likes me!

The “Morning Joe” people are right. This is a really scary situation.
