Petulant Trump REFUSES Cruz’s Endorsement He Hasn’t Received (VIDEO)

The Republican National Convention (RNC) was filled with all manner of bizarre speeches and moments. An attempted “Never Trump” coup was squashed on day one, Melania Trump plagiarized part of her speech from Michelle Obama, multiple people claimed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) should be executed, and a popular talk radio host gave a Nazi salute.

Pretty par for the course in today’s Republican Party. Not to be outdone, Donald Trump himself gave the longest speech in RNC history.

Even though he claims the convention was love-filled and helped bring the party together, there is still a prominent Republican thorn in his side in Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

In Sen. Cruz’s speech to the RNC, he mentioned Trump’s name only once, and refused to endorse the man. Instead, he urged fellow Republicans to vote “with their conscience.” He was booed off the stage and escorted out of the convention hall. Trump has a hard time letting insults go, and he struck back at Cruz before leaving Cleveland on Friday.

Trump told reporters in a bizarre, impromptu speech:

I don’t want his endorsement… If he gives it, I won’t accept it.”

He blasted Sen. Cruz on a variety of topics, claiming that he started the personal attacks by bringing up Melania Trump’s risque modeling pictures, even though the pictures were actually released by a Ted Cruz Super PAC. He attacked Cruz’s intellect, debating abilities, and decision making. He also brought up the “Ted Cruz’s father/Lee Harvey Oswald” conspiracy theory once again.

Even after bashing his primary opponent, Trump claimed that the convention was a rousing success:

That was unity… The party has just come together.”

Seems on odd statement when the current presidential candidate is bashing a standing U.S. Senator of the same party. Lately, bashing Cruz has been en vogue for his supporters.

To further drive that unity home, The Donald had this to say about his Vice Presidential pick, Mike Pence:

I ran as an outsider, I didn’t want anybody — Now I have guys like Mike Pence… See now if I don’t win, I’m going to blame Mike, right? … We have to blame Mike.”

Pence must love the position he is in.
