The entire country is in chaos (the fun kind) after Ted Cruz’s non-endorsing speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday. From our author Andrew Bradford’s article:
Trump allowed one of his harshest critics, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, to speak this evening at the 2016 GOP convention, and Cruz gave Trump the proverbial middle finger. As part of his speech, Cruz gave Republicans a piece of advice for who to support in November: “Vote your conscience.”
The line went over like a lead balloon in the hall. Cruz was immediately booed, and his wife, had to be escorted out of the Quicken Loans Arena by security.
When first asked outside the arena what he thought about Cruz’s speech, Trump said this to a reporter:
.@realDonaldTrump to me just now, when I asked about @tedcruz speech: "I loved it!" #nbc2016

But let’s remember. Donald Trump is a man who loves even NEGATIVE publicity. Contrary to the opinions of people who do this for a living on a much larger stage and who are much smarter than I am, I think Trump KNEW this was going to happen, and he KNEW it was going to make Ted Cruz look really, really bad and move sympathy over to Team Trump. His official response tweet seems to support my theory.
Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage, didn't honor the pledge! I saw his speech two hours early but let him speak anyway. No big deal!

There you have it. For once, I believe Donald Trump. He knew EXACTLY what was going to happen.
