WATCH: Trump Taught Melania To Lie Often And Lie Big

By all accounts, Melania Trump has managed to shape her life with great success.

She is beautiful. No arguing with that.

She speaks at least four languages fluently, so I’m sure she’s highly intelligent.

I’m not sure if this is all that admirable, but she did manage to repress her gag reflex long enough to marry a guy who can keep her in diamonds and caviar. Some people would consider that an attribute.

Last night Mrs. Trump took to the national stage for the next step in her upward life path. She gave a speech, in her gorgeous Slavic accent, to the Republican National Convention. It was supposed to be her moment of glory.

Alas, as soon as she stopped speaking Twitter blew up with comments on the obvious fact that the speech lifted big chunks out of a speech by Michelle Obama in 2008.

Oopsie.

Now the Huffington Post is reporting that this may not have been the first time that the elegant Melania behaved just a tiny bit dishonestly.

In fact, in her official online biography, the former model claims that she only began her modeling career after obtaining a degree in design and architecture at University in Slovenia.” You can find the same statement on several of Ms. Trump’s YouTube channel videos. Its also in her GOP convention bio.

Apparently, young Melania did attend University in Ljubljana, in the former Yugoslavia. Her biographers report that she completed her freshman year, but did not return to finish her degree.

In the book “Melania Trump – The Inside Story: From a Slovenian communist Village to the White House,” the authors write that it was only after she became involved with Donald Trump that Melania began to claim she had earned her degree. In fact, they wrote:

“Later, in America, after meeting Donald Trump and officially becoming his partner, Melania Knauss told the media that she got her degree in architecture and design. This was almost certainly done in consultation with Trump and his advisors, as they were desperate to give off the impression that the Slovenian model was not just beautiful, but also smart and well-educated.”

Melania seems to have used Donald to climb the social and economic ladder and to get herself a nice cushy life. Donald, meanwhile, seems to have had no qualms about lying to the world in order to make his wife into an image that would reflect well on him.

Well.

Yuck all around. I’m not particularly surprised about the plagiarism now, are you?
