Liberal America listed a number of outrageous things Donald Trump had said in an article back in April. Any of the comments should have disqualified him for even running as a presidential candidate.
Shockingly, it hasn’t stopped him. Instead, it made him the likely presidential nominee of the Republican party.
The longer he keeps running, the longer the list keeps growing. Slate has now listed 141 outrageous comments by Donald Trump, and here are our Top 10 picks:
1. Trump’s advice in dealing with women, as reported by Politico:
“You have to treat ’em like shit.”
2. Trump on why we need to register all Muslims in the U.S. in a giant database (try to make sense of this):
“It would stop people from coming in illegally […] We have to stop people from coming into our country illegally.”
3. Trump on why he’s advocating waterboarding as a method of torture, even if it doesn’t help gain information:
“They deserve it anyway.”
4. Trump on why we need to kill terrorist’s families (which isn’t much of an explanation at all, just bizarre rambling):
“The other thing with the terrorists is you have to take out their families, when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives, don’t kid yourself. When they say they don’t care about their lives, you have to take out their families.”
5. Trump on what supporters should do to protesters at his rallies, and promising to pay their legal fees:
“If you see somebody with a tomato, knock the crap out of them.”
6. Trump on making fun of a reporter’s physical disability, claiming he was just jerking his arm around for absolutely no reason (an awkward movement he’s never ever done any time before nor after):
“[I] merely mimicked what I thought would be a flustered reporter trying to get out of a statement he made long ago.”
7. Trump on why global warming is a hoax:
“The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
8. Trump’s response to the murder of 49 people at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub (while the other presidential candidates expressed their condolences):
“Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don’t want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!”

9. Trump on the flaws of Mexican immigrants:
“They bring in drugs, they bring in crime, they are rapists.”
10. Trump on protecting Articles in the Constitution, being unusually precise in which ones to protect:
“Article I, Article II, Article XII.”
As most know, and presidential candidate Donald Trump should know, there is no article XII.
Let’s finish by watching this frightening speech by Trump, where he gets the audience worked up against Muslims by claiming he saw thousands of them celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey. Try to grasp, to understand, yet again, how Donald Trump has been able to get away with all these false claims, racist rants, bullying, and misogyny, and still become the likely presidential nominee of the Republican party.
