#LoveforLeslieJ Shows Support For Victim Of Cyber Bullying, Leslie Jones (VIDEO)

Cyber bullying has struck again. Comedian and co-star of the new Ghostbuster’s movie, Leslie Jones, has joined the ranks of numerous stars before her and quit the world of Twitter last night.

The reasoning, though, is not because she said anything that is being thrown around the media. Instead, Jones has been cyber bullied with racist and sexist comments from Twitter users all over the country.

These tweets weren’t just from generic Twitter users only; there was also several instances of fake Leslie Jones accounts who were tweeting horrible anti-gay slurs and attacking other people online.

But don’t think Jones bowed out of Twitter quietly. Before leaving the popular social network, she made sure to let everyone know how she felt about these racist and sexist jerks.

Stars and fans alike have stepped up in support of Jones by using the hashtag #LoveforLeslieJ followed with amazing compliments and supportive words.

Leslie Jones is no stranger to speaking her mind after calling out several famous designers last month because they refused to dress her for the premiere of Ghostbusters.

Cyberbullying continues to be a huge issue, and not just in the teen to teen world. Racist comments, sexist slander, and disgusting sexual photos should not be tolerated by Twitter or any other social media outlet.

If you post a picture breastfeeding your child you can be sure to have that image removed very quickly, but post a picture comparing an African-American woman to an orangutan, and no one does a thing until celebrities like Jones call them out.

I wonder what Twitter would have done if these comments hadn’t been directed toward a celebrity, and instead a regular subscriber to the popular social media outlet?
