Black Sheriff’s Alarming Call To Action Against BLM Takes The Cake (VIDEO)

A Milwaukee Sheriff, Dave Clarke, has spoken out about the Black Lives Movement in an op-ed published at The Hill, and he’s making a statement that some might think could put us on the brink of Civil War.

He says that, “We are at war.” He is not talking about the wars abroad. He’s talking about “domestic” war – with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Continuing in a historical tradition, Civil rights and Law enforcement have a complicated past. Unfortunately, new evidence has revealed Law enforcement alliances have occasionally been elsewhere – with the opposition.

Many have gone as far as to call the movement the new Ku Klux Klan. Funny stuff, considering the old KKK has not gone anywhere. In order to gain some insight into this history, we must look at the legacy of the most infamous white supremacist group in American History.

Remember that time that the United States came together and decided that the Ku Klux Klan was a terrorist organization? Then we all stood together, boycotted, and condemned those who showed even the smallest affiliation.

I don’t remember that either – because that never actually happened.

The KKK is over 200 years old – with a track record  of inciting terror longer than Route 64. Interestingly, there has been no real steps to label them as such – until recently.

In contrast, the Black Lives Matter movement has been DIRECTLY responsible for exactly zero deaths.

Yet there have been recent petitions and public appeals like that by Sheriff Dave Clarke, to register The BLM movement as a threat to American values. In other words, the instigators of war. According to his op-ed:

It’s time to come to the aid of our police, our front-line soldiers, by calling this war, and not terrorism. Avoiding the truth through wordsmithing – the false narrative of the lone-wolf – is contemptible as more innocent officers perish while our politicians hem and haw.”

This is not the first time there has been a conflict of interest between law enforcement and Civil Rights interests.

Within the last few years, various officers have been terminated for ties to the KKK. It has long been rumored one of the primary orders given to members of the KKK was to infiltrate Law Enforcement. Surprisingly, various federal documents seem to provide a great deal of evidence to that claim.

While aware of the issue, the FBI report states that First Amendment’s freedom of association protects law enforcement officials’ rights to join white supremacist groups for the purposes of lawful activity. The government could only reduce employment opportunities of hate group members if their “memberships would interfere with their duties.”

If it sounds familiar, it is because impoverished communities and communities of color have been saying it all along.

With this type of factual evidence surfacing, can you blame communities of color for a general distrust of Law Enforcement? Luckily, times have changed and the force has improved a considerable amount, but some are still anti-equality.

This is not an accusation that all police officers are affiliated with the KKK.

Many such as Officer Tommy Norman do a damn good job of correctly interacting with communities while enforcing the law. If Officer Norman is capable of excelling at his job and interacting respectfully, what stops others? It is a hard pill to swallow that many may not have the desire to serve and protect. As with all career fields, there are some that do not have their heart in it.

Within his article, Sheriff Clarke makes the claim we are in a state of “guerrilla urban warfare against the police.” He next makes a call to “expose” and “condemn” various groups for their true goal of revolution. Lets take a moment to evaluate those claims.

Since January 2016, 637  civilians have been killed in police related deaths. The number of police? Sixty Six.

Of those 66 on duty police deaths, 9 were automobile accidents, 4 were heart attacks, and 3 were motorcycle accidents. That figure even includes one incident of death by animal attack!

Are there some radicals that truly have it out for police? Definitely, but most times they lack prominence and power.

We love our boys in blue, and are grateful for the sacrifices that they make daily. We mourn alongside their families. We cry out, saying the target of any population is wrong and that includes the police.

This Sheriff, however, has gone to far.

According to Sheriff Clarke, the local Baton Rouge Police Department is “observing a civil war unfold within our borders.” Next, he makes a call to action:

We ‘go about our lives’ with terrorist threats. We fight back and win when we are at war.”

With talks of Civil War, we cannot help but wonder what is really being designated the issue – fear of Revolution or fear of equality?

A war between rule of law and anarchy-seeking hate.”

Legal does not equal ethical. Don’t ever confuse the two. Let us think back within our history.

Remember, the core issue in the Civil War was the right to continue centuries of oppression. The true American spirit is to fight oppression. This nation was born of Revolution! Let it be known, within the culture of oppression, a call for equality is its most unforgivable of crime.
