Angry Delegates And The Circus That Is The Republican National Convention (VIDEO)

The Republican National Convention has begun and you know what that means in this current race; soundbites for days and collectively scratching our heads wondering just what exactly is going on.

If a voice vote really is the best thing they could muster nowadays, not only is our political system inept, but it’s also antiquated and not fit to run along side a progressive and technologically advanced society.

You could almost see the Republican crowds devolving into a group of barbaric early statesman just about ready to prop up their choice in an old-fashioned duel. Maybe Donald Trump (R-N.Y.) would have been for it, channeling his inner Alexander Hamilton.

Knowing the Republican divisiveness of Trump, the convention should have realized issuing a standard voice vote, reserved usually for innocuous measures, would cause some trouble with the anti-Trump crowd at the Republican Convention.

But can you really expect anything less from the convention planners, considering they invited this guy.

Just another talking head pushing forward a schismatic agenda as he denounces it in the same breath, don’t worry no one there noticed the inherent irony from this pastor’s speech.

Day one of the convention was aptly titled “Make America Safe Again,” whatever that broad umbrella term means to the masses. Here’s to looking forward to the next thrilling days, and what’s supposed to happen officially.

Preview of the Convention

As you could have guessed, there won’t be much policy talked about here, or detailed plans on how to do it. It’s a simple, “Make America Great Again” day and nothing else to it. Officially, the agenda includes “Make America Work Again,” “First Again,” and finally, “Make America One Again.”

Bravo. Close the curtain everyone and return home as our savior has now told us in his immortal words,

Just leave it to me, Just go and enjoy your life.”

That’s one of the major problems with not only the conventions, but the elections in general. Nothing is actually being done during this campaign.

Think of any convention, especially the RNC, as a litmus test for how ineffective our government has become. It’s a garbled literal scream fest. This is no more evident in the lack of actual plans or policies being made to be put to action.

Instead of a group of legislators and potential future leaders debating the merits of proposed plans to advance America and letting the general populace inform themselves on the facts and science behind whatever issue their talking about, it has instead ceded itself into a cult of personality reflective of the populace at large.

Be prepared for more tired talking points pandering to the populist agenda that has been brewing on the right for the past couples of years, finally culminating in the crescendo of the media madness that has been Donald Trump.

Like your favorite television show inching up to its finale, right now we’re witnessing Ramsay Bolton — er sorry, Donald take his claim to the Iron Throne as former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) Lannister has long lusted for her seat of power through any means necessary.

Enough Game of Thrones references though, even if our champion of the people, the High Sparrow, just endorsed our future Queen.

Now that Bernie Sanders has put his support behind Hilary Clinton, perhaps there won’t be that big of a fall out over at the Democratic National Convention, come July 25 – July 28. Considering this joke of an election, don’t be surprised if chaos erupts there as well.

Stay tuned in these next couple of days, as there is sure to be more madness imploding at the convention.
