Meet Zoltan Istvan, The 2016 Presidential Candidate You’ve Never Heard Of — And Why (VIDEO)

I have some great news for you guys. Well, I think it’s great news. We are all talking about former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Donald Trump (R-N.Y.). I have another option for you today. Zoltan Istvan is running for president under the Transhumanist Party.

Istvan is 41-years-old and would be the youngest person elected. He founded the Transhumanist Party, and the platform could be described in three points. Istvan said these are:

“1. Attempt to do everything possible to make it so this country’s amazing scientists and technologists have resources to overcome human death and aging within 15–20 years—a goal an increasing number of leading scientists think is reachable.

2. Create a cultural mindset in America that embracing and producing radical technology and science is in the best interest of our nation and species.”

3. Create national and global safeguards and programs that protect people against abusive technology and other possible planetary perils we might face as we transition into the transhumanist era.”

As an atheist, this makes me very excited. I would love to see a candidate that represents all of my values. He is an author and blogger. He runs three national columns.

What is the Transhumanist party?

From the party’s website:

“…The Transhumanist Party and Zoltan Istvan’s US Presidential campaign is politically-centric. It aims to support voters with future-inspired policies that will enrich America and the world. We believe science and technology can solve most of the world’s problems.”

The party is all about science, and it’s great. They want to reduce the size of the government. He would like to legalize recreational drugs and end the ridiculous “War on Drugs.”

He would like to create a Universal Basic Income for everyone since machines will decrease the available jobs in the next 30 years.

I’m very excited to see a science-loving politician, and an atheist running for president. Spread the word!
