Trump Just Made The GOP Convention Crazier By Inviting This Guy At The Last Minute (VIDEO)

The excitement is building. We can hardly wait for the thrilling events that are about to take place in Cleveland.

Drum-roll, please. The Republican National Convention starts tomorrow!

It’s always so exciting to see who will be speaking at these huge events. I remember in 2008 when the GOP convention featured many past presidential candidates like Fred Thompson, and former Governors Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee.

It was a long list of Republican power brokers, all meeting in one place to throw unanimous support behind the party’s nominee.

This year promises to be even more exciting. We will see the always unpredictable Donald Trump (R-N.Y.) accepting the nomination. Delegates from across the country will gather in the Quicken Loans Arena to reluctantly cast their votes for him. Some of them might do this while holding their noses, some while weeping, but either way it should be a spectacle.

We are all eager to see the lineup of GOP stars who will be speaking. Are you ready for some names?

All four of Trump’s adult children will take the stage to rave about Daddy Donald. This is highly unusual. In fact, I’m pretty sure that it’s completely unheard of.

At some point the very lovely and exotic wife of the candidate will also speak to convention attendees. One again, this is totally unexpected and way out of the norm for major party conventions.

We will also be able to enjoy the groveling efforts of Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.), who seems to be still angling for a cabinet post. Doctor Ben Carson (R-Fla.) will be there, as will House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

Now Philly.com is reporting that one more celebrity superstar will speak at the convention.

Remember Scott Baio?

Yep, that’s right. Chachi will be addressing the Republican Convention on behalf of Donald Trump.

It makes me wonder what complex planning went into the choices of who would speak at which time. I mean, this is a big deal, right? The Trump campaign must have spent a lot of time planning every tiny detail of the event.

Scott Baio himself explained how it all unfolded. He said:

“I was at a fundraiser for Mr. Trump the other night with my wife, and he invited me to speak at the convention—which was completely unexpected and out of left field. He had given a speech and he was walking out, and I looked at him and I said, ‘Mr. Trump, Scott Baio…,’ and he said, ‘Oh my god!’ And he said to me, ‘Do you want to speak?’ and I said, ‘Here?’ and he goes, ‘No, no, at the convention!’ And I went, ‘Ugh… o…okay.'”

Good Lord. I shudder to imagine how he’d go about choosing his Cabinet, don’t you?
