Another LIE: Donald Trump Says He’s Seen People Calling For Moments Of Silence For Dallas Shooter

Trying to keep up with all of the lies Donald Trump tells is a full-time job. And the latest of his whoppers is he claims he’s seen some calling for moments of silence for the sniper who shot and killed five Dallas cops last week.

On two separate occasions yesterday–an appearance on Fox News and at a campaign rally–Trump tossed out the suggestion that some had been calling for a moment of silence for the Dallas shooter, but of course he never actually specified who or where it happened, reminiscent of when the Orange Menace said he had seen TV footage of American Muslims celebrating in New Jersey on September 11, 2001.

On “The O’Reilly Factor” Tuesday evening, Trump told the host that the Black Lives Matter movement was “dividing America.”

Later, on the stump in Indiana, Trump said:

“The other night you had 11 cities potentially in a blow-up stage. Marches all over the United States—and tough marches. Anger. Hatred. Hatred! Started by a maniac! And some people ask for a moment of silence for him. For the killer!”

A CNN reporter caught that pronouncement from Trump, and tweeted out:

The Trump campaign has been asked for specifics on the candidate’s assertions, but has not corroborated the charges. As with all things Trump, they know they cannot defend the man, even though it’s their job to do so. Instead, they just try to deflect any questions with snarky remarks or delays.

Yet again we see that Donald Trump loves to lie when it serves his purposes, even when to do so only aggravates the situation. This is the kind of man who perfectly exemplifies a line from the movie “The Dark Knight”:

“Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

Men like Donald Trump. Then he can rush in and pretend to be a firefighter. But instead of water, he only has gasoline.
