Ruth Bader Ginsburg Shares EXACTLY What She Thinks Of A Trump Presidency

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a badass Supreme Court Justice. She got her law degree from Columbia Law School. She has also been a longtime advocate for women’s rights. President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1980. She was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton in 1993.

She was recently asked about what would happen if Donald Trump actually became president in November (other than the apocalypse). She said:

“I don’t want to think about that possibility, but if it should be, then everything is up for grabs.”

She hinted about Hillary Clinton becoming president when she said:

“It’s likely that the next president, whoever she will be, will have a few appointments to make.”

We already have one vacant seat on the Supreme Court with the death of Antonin Scalia. Three justices are nearing or past the age of 80. Ginsburg is 83. The next president will likely be making at least one Supreme Court appointment.

Many people are arguing that Donald Trump is not qualified to pick Supreme Court justices. He made racist attacks against Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who was ruling on the Trump University fraud lawsuit. Trump also said that Muslim judges can’t be trusted.

When asked about which party will win, Ginsburg said:

“I think it’s going to be another Democratic president…. The Democrats do fine in presidential elections; their problem is they can’t get out the vote in the midterm elections.”

She is presuming that Hillary Clinton will be the next president. That means that Obama’s pick, Merrick Garland, could be appointed to the Supreme Court, unless Clinton nominates someone else.

She said that if a pick for the next Justice is not named during the lame-duck period, the Supreme Court vacancy could last the entire term.

Although Ginsburg is 83, she shows no signs of stepping down. She will hopefully be kicking conservatives asses for at least a few more years.
