In One Tweet, Rep. Keith Ellison Explains That Former Rep. Joe Walsh ABSOLUTELY Threatened Obama’s Life

Yesterday, less than 12 hours after the shootings in Dallas which left five police officers dead and seven innocent people injured, former GOP Congressman Joe Walsh sent out this tweet:

Yes, Walsh deleted the post when the proverbial shit hit the fan and he realized he had just threatened the life of the President of the United States, a federal crime which is punishable by five years in prison, $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release.

Walsh then tried to cover his tracks (and his ass) with this:

My first reaction when I saw Walsh’s was this: Does he not realize this is the very last thing we need right now? The entire country is on edge and he wants to walk into a room already engulfed in flames and start spraying rhetorical gasoline? How stupid and insensitive can you be?

And today, a current member of the House of Representatives, Keith Ellison, provided the perfect rebuttal to Joe Walsh, also via social media:

When will we all realize that we are part of a larger human family and are responsible for one another? Can’t Walsh understand that you can only overcome hatred, killing, and division with love?

It’s way past time we learned to treat each other as brothers and sisters, and to treasure one another. As my mother taught me when I was just a child, the blood flowing through all of our veins is the same color, red. And we all bleed when we are cut or shot. We must bind up the wounds which keep us separated and learn once again the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have done to you.
