This Woman Called Mitch McConnell On The Phone And Asked How Much Mitch McConnell Costs

Many people do the good deed of calling their Congressional Representatives to tell them what they think. This lady, Heather Calling, had a very unique question for her Congressmen. She video taped the call and the response.

McConnell is a Senator from Kentucky, and he has been the House Majority Leader in 2015. According to his website, he is:

“…The most conservative leader of either party in the history of the Senate.”

She called Senator Mitch McConnell and asked:

“How much does he cost? How much does Mitch McConnell cost?”

She was referring to Mitch McConnell’s refusal to pass gun laws. She said this to the receptionist:

“I know that he’s for sale. I mean, you can get him to either introduce legislation or not introduce legislation based on whether or not you’ve given him money. So what does an ordinary citizen, like is there a special rate that an ordinary citizen can pay to get him to introduce legislation or vote a certain way?”

In case you want to troll the Senator, this is the number:

(202) 224-2541

The receptionist finally catches on to the joke and gets a little annoyed. She said that she doesn’t appreciate Heather’s sarcasm, and then she hung up on Heather.

This woman, like many of us, is angry that these Republicans won’t pass any gun laws. After the Orlando massacre, the Democrats had a sit-in because they were so frustrated by the lack of action in the House of Representatives.

Rep. John Lewis of Georgia had a powerful message to Paul Ryan, the Speaker of the House:

“We were elected to lead, Mr. Speaker. We must be headlights and not taillights. We cannot continue to stick our heads in the sand [to avoid] the gun violence in our nation.”

We may need more creative, sarcastic people like this to get the Congressmen to do something.

Here are the videos. The second one has the “How much does he cost?” line:
